Independent reading at 19 months

My little one is growing so fast. He is getting more independent and curious about everything around him. He already starts to read books by himself. Yes, he misses some sight words when he reads but I know it's the time in his life when  speech is not perfectly developed  yet. He is still working on it ;-)

Cool! I love making books. And I tried making them like this last time, but they took up so much storage space. hehe. So we went small - A5-sized landscape format, stapled and bound with binding tape. I have those pics on my blog.

By the way, is "tomatoe" and "plumaria" English words?

English is my second language and I'm not a perfect speller. I made a mistake in tomato word but plumeria is spelled correctly (you wrote it with mistake). Thanks for pointing out mine :)

I saw you blog and books you created. They look very nice. I don't know anything about binding tape though. Does it hold many pages? I need to look around for it. It would make my life easier and cheaper ;-)

sorry, my mistake. I thot it was a scientific term that you preferred your son to learn.

I think we don't even have a first language here! Bc English is not our first language, and we are even poorer in our mother tongue!

I bought the binding tape from Daiso. Very easy to use. My books usually have 25 to 28 pages (12 to 15 A4-size pages cut into 2 halves.
